I need to replace my fog lamps on a 2000 Ram 1500. What is a good brand? Should I go with OEM?

Do you have a Sport with the factory fog lights? I have a 99 Sport and the fog lights inside reflector started to fade and get dingy so I replaced them with OEM style from the after market. Looked identical and were inexpensive. Simple job. Can't believe the difference in brightness.

No Sport package. SLT factory fog lights.

I just replaced a factory fog lamp bulb on our 2004 Dakota, and got it at NAPA. It was like $8.00 for the bulb. I need to go back and get one for the other side, because the new one is so much brighter. When you pull the bulb out, it will have a number on it, and you can just match it up off the rack at the parts store.

I need the whole fog light assembly. Mine is all faded.

I replaced mine on my 96 with the identical ones the factory used. A few years and they are starting to do the same thing the originals did(heat up in the middle/melting the plastic/yellowing). I believe LMC truck still sells them. If you want quality housings/lens/bulbs(focused beam) you won't find them on ebay. Well you may but you need a specific search. You will have to retrofit them to the oem brackets. I'm sure there are plenty of different ones that will work I found these in a google search. Unfortunately the aftermarket forgets about 20 year old vehicles so no direct fit ones.

I put these in the lower bumper opening and wired them in with my fog lamps on my 01 2500. Total game changer!! Did the mod 4 years ago. Have them pointed down enough to avoid 95% of the “high beam flash” from oncoming cars, but the night driving is worlds better. Great investment for $40 bucks.
