One for the computer car guys/techs, 1999 Dodge Ram 2500 V10, I replaced the TPS and IAC on my Ram V10 due to throttle RPM fluctuations, did the recommended over 40 MPH to reset the IAC, truck runs fine 650 RPM idle in P/N and in gear, automatic trans shift points OK; no real issues, that is until you rev the engine in P/N then it stalls when you let off the throttle, restart the truck, back to normal operation, accelerates fine in gear, stop and go no issues, until you blip the throttle in P/N then it stalls....rinse and repeat

Tried the other relearns key on, press gas pedal hold 15 seconds, shut off, start, drive, same results/issue above, tried the key on, press gas pedal /release slowly 3 times, key off, start, drive, same results/issues as above....what am I missing?

Thanks
MikeG

Sounds like a gummed up throttle body.
Been there , done that

Could be Bill?, but it never stalled before replacing the TPS and IAC, just started doing some wacky RPM variations at idle from 650-500 RPM/low idle 500 RPM, so I figured I throw some parts at it.....

Gummed up throttle bodies will cause all kinds of idle issues from no idle to fluctuating idle speeds..

I always use a tooth brush and good carb cleaner. You can pull the TB if its any easier. If needed pull the AIS motor and clean its passage as well

PS, Ive always felt the best way for it to " learn idle " speeds . Is once started ,,Just let it sit and idle, from cold all the way up till oper temps

Damm it Bill!, your right AGAIN!....knock it off will ya! LOL!....

I kinda doubted that cleaning the TB would yield any results as it didn't look "bad", but I figured it costs nothing to try, and again you amazed me! right on the money with that call... I feel like a dummy over looking the obvious...Thank You!
