Hey guys , I dug up old threads on this , and it seems the 2 likely places are out of business, and / or don't have them anymore . Year One which seems from most saying are the best ones to get , now shows " not currently available " , I called and as expected they said they do not know the next ETA when they will be available . I stumbled on a place called Burns Fiberglass, don't know whether it is an old site or new . Anyone have any info of where to get ( a good quality ) one ? FWIW , I have 2 repo hoods right now , both different manufacturers ( don't know who they are from ) , but both fit like crap , one bird beaks down hard in the front , and the other on the scoop and sides bird bath in pretty bad . One has better detail on the under hood then the other . Thanks guys .

They(AAR) changed ownership a few years back and their delivery and customer service has improved, their products were already top notch.
Reality check, that half the population is smarter then 50% of the people and it's a constantly contested fact.

Since ASC&P (Year One's supplier) decided to sell their molds and stop production of AAR and T/A hoods your kinda SOL for a quality original style hood, AAR fiberglass was acquired by Stinger Fiberglass a few years ago, quality is now subpar compared to AAR's earlier offerings, and the hood is not quite "original" looking underneath, VFN and esp US BodySource hoods leave a lot to be desired .... If Burns is still making Fiberglass hoods that's your best bet for a current quality hood that's very close to correct top/bottom....a little spendy though approx $1100-$1200+ delivered depending on your location/shipping

Verrrrry interesting...... 32780 ... least coast Florida.... grey gel oat ? Sounds like a SPIN OFF of US Body Source Sounds like a good time for you to buy the molds and fire up some hoods on the west side. I wonder who in Fl. Made my bolt on Challenger R/T style hood back in the early 80s? It is top and bottom glued together. Had scoops tgat were so bad that I had to cut them out and add a shelf to bolt stick metal ones in. We're just flat on the front of tge scoops no real shape to them. Just straight down. And the 2 halves had to be attached as it was coming apart. Us very thin in area's. Whole thing needed redone so was just a base to start with as far as I am concerned.

PINKster....... but I’d have to move my motor homey and jetskiCUDDY-BOAT out of my shop ! ....
Now on these hoods ? .... where is the real market for them ?
I saw that post some time ago with a link to the selling of the molds ..... that cost and the very small market .... I don’t see where that’s a good business investment at all Well , I agree , with the cost for startup , NTM would you have the same quality as he produced as he has made lots of them , to get decent $$$ they had better turn out good . With that said , $1k +/- is not bad as long as the quality is good . I do not know the situation for the sale of the molds , but if it were still in demand why sell ? If these were the ones that Year One was getting , they were selling for $850 .

I remember back when the molds were just posted 6 to 12 months ago you said the molds, set up cost fur materials that a person may never brake even with the amount needing sold to do so might never be met. And if met would take quite some time as the limited market for them. As well as Mopar guys being cheap so many woukd also be priced out of their price range. It may have been a,PM to me or a post. I personally think a good quality AAR or T/A hood would be in the 1200 buck range now a,days maybe more

Hi Barry , didn't talk to you this year at Carlisle , we talked the year before , about my car and the one I am doing for someone ( W1 , black vinyl top ) , this is the car in topic . We still have the orig hood , it just needs way , way , way to much work to revive . This year at Carlisle in the swap meet behind car corral was an orig AAR hood with the same exact issues as the one we have , hence why they were getting rid of it . The car will not be getting painted until next year , so some time we have , but want to get one asap .
