I was looking at my friend's A Body tach and noticed it's yellow from 55 to 60. Googling images I found of NOS 6K ones show the lettering is all white.
Is this for a specific car, year, a fake or an anomaly?
FWIW he bought it for a '70 340 4sp Dart Swinger.
Thanks

The rallye dashes started back with the 2nd gen barracuda so maybe they changed the tach over the years and the 70-71 style are not the same as the first ones? They also made speedos in 120 and 150 so perhaps the tach style is paired with the speedo rating?

Here's one of the ones I Googled, just says '68 to '71, no other specific distinctions. I like to call things like this a "Mopar Mystery".

I think looking at a parts book for 67 thru 71 would help out to see when and if the part numbers changed?

If you can find examples of a barracuda rallye dash or anything with a 120 speedo that would help to compare as well. I know the 340 Darts, Demons, and Dusters got the 150 speedo.

SOLVED. Thank you to the members that helped (publicly & privately).
Even though that part number is used over several years it's most correct for 1971 A Bodies.
The yellow markings on the display are actually faded orange.

I was told the white Rallye gauge tachs were used for the 70’s. The Rallye gauge tachs with the orange numbers were used for the 71’s but I’m sure there are exceptions to the rule
