66Plymouth440Six OP pro stock Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 1,274 Albany, New York	I had the complete interior for my 1966 Satellite stored in the basement and it was destroyed in a fire. I was looking at replacements on Legendary Auto Interiors. I thought my original door panels had some type of trim on them? It's been a while since I looked at them so I turned to searching for photos online. Is this trim a part of the door panel or is it attached to the door itself? (My car is buried and I can't get to it.) I don't see those trim pieces listed anywhere. Original plan was to put new foam and seat covers on the front bucket seats only. (All the door panels and rear seat were in excellent condition.) Now it looks like I'll be trying my hand at recovering the rear seats as well. (I even had to convince them to save the water logged seats otherwise I'd be searching for metal cores too! Door panels, carpet, carpet underlayment and all the plastic components got thrown away before I could even look at them. Seatbelts are presumed gone but it looks like I can buy reproduction.) Thanks.

When I bought the Satellite the interior was already gutted (but included) so I've never installed or removed these door panels before. Then I purchased new carpet, bucket seat foam, covers, armrests, etc. from Legendary. I was just waiting on paint and then could re-install the interior. Just priced out the replacement... over $3,500.

Suregrip391 top fuel S Joined: Sep 2005 Posts: 1,978 USA	On my 67, the top trim was on the door. The door panel tucks up under it. The bottom trim is part of the door panel. It has fold over tabs holding it on.

That's probably why on the reproduction panels pictured there is a recessed area on the bottom where trim would fit in. I still have to check my car to see if the top trim is there or not. Does anyone sell that door panel trim? I've tried searching and haven't come up with anything yet.

Upper screws to the door and trim panel slides up into it. Been too many years since my '67 GTX to recall the bottom trim.

I did see an eBay auction that listed "Mopar B Body Front Upper Door Panel Chrome Trim Charger Satellite 1966-1970. Fits 2 Door cars only. Does not fit 1966-67 Charger.” So if I want to believe that, they were the same 1966-1970. The same vendor has the rear seat side panel trim but that is listed as "1968-1970". For some of the door panels listed, such as the 1965 Satellite, is says "Customer must reuse original metal trim." But it doesn't say that for 1966 Satellite. In the photos it clearly shows that there is a lower trim that should be on the panel. Guess I'm going to have to keep hunting. Does anyone know if the 1967 and up automatic center console will fit in a 1966? If I understand correctly the 1966 was originally a 2 piece. But will the 1967 physically work? I'm not going for concourse correct. I'd just like to get the car back together and drivable within my lifetime. Thanks!

I know a lot of other vendors carry Legendary Auto Interiors. I came across a different set manufactured by "PG Classic (China)". . New reproduction Brand New Coachman Grain Vinyl Dielectrically heat-sealed Cologne grain Front and Rear Door Panels for a factory look and feel. Replace your damaged or missing originals with this quality set Door Panels. Cosmetically correct from the mounting posts to the material grain and features Pre-Punched Hole Outlines are located on the back side of the cardboard backing for trim and handle hole locations. Sold as a SET for Front and Rear Panels with installation clips and inserts. I saw the set of front and rear panels with clips for $357.21 + Shipping. Legendary has them listed for $398 (front) + $229 (rear) + $32 clips + Shipping. That's quite a price difference if the quality is the same on both. You can always find someone at a swap meet that will buy them from you at a discount if they done suit you. The early-B re-use of door trim metal is because of the upper curved support pieces behind the trim. PG may or may not be adequate, but is usually the visibly cheaper & less-correct stuff vs Legendary.
