Hey A body experts I need to know where to get the correct attaching nuts for this Dart hood insert. The Dorman brand at auto parts stores
doesn't seem to be the right size. Thanks in advance.

That is a hood insert, the hood molding goes on the front of the hood. wave I have dozens of them laying around, if you can't find them let me know..

Is that how the reproduction hood inserts come?(all chrome and no textured argent on the sides)

The original inserts have tapered "pins" so the speed nuts will start easily. It looks like the reproduction mounting "pins" aren't tapered. This makes getting the speed nuts to start more difficult. I just ran into this with the reproduction 68 Dart console top plates. I had to use a nut driver and put a fair amount of pressure on the speed nuts to get them to start. Once they started, they went on fine though.

I got the correct ones from AMK that have dumb dumb in them. I cant recall which part number it was though, I used an old one to get the dimensions and matched.

You should build a shopping list for AMK, since you need an order minimum of like $30. Which you can pretty easily reach if you start looking around, so much in there.
