Anyone have a report on how it went?

Well it was different being at night. Swap meet was a joke like it has been for the last few years. Figured it would be. Car show was small. The drag racers are a loyal diehard bunch. Seemed to be a fairly decent turnout with them. Friday night I guess a race car grenaded around 11:00 and racing didn't resume until around 1:00am.
I camped out in my spot Friday night. It was a hot one. Was around 106* Friday afternoon and a low of 80* Saturday morning. I drug up Saturday morning and went to the Rockabilly at the New Orleans. That was pretty cool.
I'm guessing that this was the last of the MATS. Kind of sad. The first few years it was a fun show. I could maybe see it continuing as a racing gig only.

I went to the show their first 2 years. I was disappointed in the swap and show size so I never went back.

I went when it was a Mopar only show a couple of times. It was pretty good! I've really been thinking about going to the Muscle car version.
Thanks for the feedback!

I went from 2004 to 2019 and watched it change a bunch. I drove out from Chicago almost every year, the one year I flew I got sick as a dog from something on the plane and never really recovered! eek The swap meet was really good between 2006-2010 or so, I made some good money and bought some great parts! It started going downhill as soon as Mopar pulled out and Phil lost his family dealerships. I really wanted to make it this year but my mom's house closed on the 10th, or so I thought, so I couldn't risk taking the time, but of course the buyer flaked out at the last minute while I was already down in Arkansas. I hope this isn't the last one, had some awesome memories for sure! up
