After 20+ years of having our annual show at Hagen Park in Rancho Cordova, we have moved the show to the Carmichael Elks Lodge at the address seen above in the flyer.
This will be the first year at this new location so please bear with us for any adjustments we have to make.
There will be everything you remember from past shows....Swap meet and car corral, lots of shade, food & drinks, music and the great show cars.

What does the trailer parking situation look like?

The Elks parking lot is huge. Easily 5 times as many spaces as we had before.

Thank you, John. In the upper left corner and middle, out of the picture is the grass area. It is pretty good in size too.

The Elks Lodge will be serving food. One of the conditions for us having the show there was to let them serve the food. It is a good money maker for our club but we needed a place to hold our show and the city just wasn't being reasonable with securing a park date.

We will be there. Meeting my son and his family. Then dinner nearby with them to celebrate my wife's birthday, which is next week. She was 19 when I met her...rumor has it she ain't 19 anymore...

Show and swap were small, but had a great time. Saw a few friends and some cool cars. Interesting sets of parts in the swap. Did buy an A-body AC duct for a reasonable price.

I didn't see you....But then again, I was all over the place putting out small fires.
The turnout was 123 cars. The venue was decent. I would have liked a bit more notice on the layout of the field so I could have given some input but the "powers that be" in the club wanted no advice. WE could have put all the classics on the grass out back if they would have tried.
There was some drunk guy in a blue Dakota truck come through the show field and almost hit several cars. He was driving along with several people trying to hold onto and stop the truck. I came up to the scene after the guy was out of the truck. I got the keys and drove it back out to the parking lot and locked it up. The Police were called and promptly responded 2 hours later after we were shutting everything down. The drunk called a neighbor and she drove his truck home.

I couldn't bring any cars this weekend, but my 9 year old and I showed up and had a great time as spectators. Glad we left before the drunk guy issues! The kid loves to read and was super stoked to find a couple old books in the swap meet full of road tests of these cars when they were new that he's been reading over and over again since we got home so overall the trip up from the bay area was a win.
