I'm looking to buy seat upholstery for the rear seat in my 74 crew cab. I have 93 Ram Charger seats in the front. I would like to match the style with the fronts so I'm wondering if the rear bench is the same basic size and shape as the front bench seat in the later years. I don't have anything to compare it to as the RC didn't have a rear seat in it when I bought it and my 92 has buckets in it also. I can buy kits for front and rear seats of a RC but aren't the RC rear seats smaller than a front bench seat?

It is a lot smaller. It fits between the wheel wells to give you an idea. The company that makes the Ramcharger covers may sell the material in bulk. You could then find an upholstery shop that could make them to fit your seat frame.

Even easier. Go to Stockinteriors.com. and check out covers for 79 to 83 Dodge trucks. The bench seat cover will fit the crewcab bench. One section wraps around differently than the original design but it's invisible and pretty self explanatory..
Then check their listing for Ramcharger buckets. They probably offer matching material for both sets.

Matching seat covers for mismatched seats doesn't get any easier.

Also, go ahead and order carpet, strongly recommend the mass backing for noise reduction.

The rear bench in a crew cab is the same as a regular cab seat (unfinished on the back of the seat). The Crew cab front seat back was a full cover (front and back of seat). Since they pretty much used the same material fro D/W series and RC you should be able to just get Front seat coves adn a std cab rear cover.

Thank you guys for the info, but I'm not putting carpet in this truck. It is used off road and in the winter around here so it would be trashed anyway. I have a really nice interior in my '92, new carpet headliner, etc., but can't seam to stop the water leaks. I'm to the point now where I have slowed it down but not stopped it. The unavailability of vent window seals is a major hurdle. I don't use this truck off road or in the winter mainly because it will get stuck on wet grass, but it is fine in the nicer seasons to pull my trailer and make grocery and hardware store runs, and the A/C works great.

I had an 85 crew cab. I installed 90 Ramcharger seats in the front. They were that grey fuzzy type material (Factory). I then went back to the salvage and found the same seat material in a 93 D150 standard cab pickup. Bought the whole seat and installed it in the rear of the crew cab.. Both seats were really nice condition and matched each other perfectly. I may have a picture here yet too

That looks nice. I just bought a new seat cover for the rear. Went right on and looks pretty good, I'm happy with it.
