hot coolant exits the block in the top 2 holes on each side so on the pass side on top of the pump where the coolant turns from the top block hole inward to the stat housing is the pressure nipple.

So which heater hose fitting is the pressure?? The one closest to the block??

The smaller 1/2" hose is the rearmost port on the water pump housing.

What port on the wp housing is the pressure side and what one is the return? Thanks If you look at the water pump housing you can figure it out. There is a pressure side of the housing and a return side. The pressure side feeds the heater (and the radiator) while the return side pulls water in from the radiator as well as the return from the heater.

How about a small block wp? the nipple next to the intake stat housing is the hot coolant outlet to the firewall heater inlet nipple. heater outlet nipple is to the water pump fitting. EDIT be sure to hook the 2 hoses to the 2 heater core nipples to the right ones
