I'm in same position as many people out there, looking for a pair of 69 Coronet fenders.

It appears that AMD does not make them, nor does anyone else out there, so what else is there to do except look for something that can be modified to fit.

Will 68 Coronet fenders fit and if so, what mods are needed to make them the same as (or close to) a 69 ?

Thanks for any advice !

I do believe 68-9 will fit on either cars. The only difference of course being the marker lights. We used to sell tons of both fenders & I have removed plenty of them from cars.

I can't speak directly to the Coronet but I did just such a modification to a Roadrunner.

As far I know the only diff between them is the sidemarker, so is posible to make it, just like 71 and 72 b bodies, 70/71 and 72/74 E Bodies, 70/71 and 72 Darts, and 67/69 with 73/76 Darts and 67, 68 and 69 Barracudas. Maybe it happens the same with some C bodies.

Unfortunately, the side marker is the easy part.
There are a few differences between the 68 and 69 Coronet fenders.
The side marker is the obvious one.
The headlight mount panels are different, and are a welded in panel, that is not simple to swap without drilling and welding
The 69 fender has a heavy mounting plate at the front where it meets the rad support, the 68 fender does not have it.
Yes, they can be converted, but be aware that it is not a straight forward swap

the 67-69 Dart fenders are not easily swapped, because the 69 headlight is in a higher, and more rearward position. The headlight mount panel is completely different between them. If you look at a 68 Dart from the front, the headlights look a bit bug eyed, where the 69 Dart has a more aggressive look, because for 69, they moved the headlights deeper in, and higher up to partially shroud the headlamp compared to the 68.

Also 67-69 Barracuda fenders have differences in the headlight mounts, and grille mounting provisions.

People also tend to think the 71-74 Charger fenders are the same except for the side marker. Not the case. The 71-72 side marker can be modified , but the 73-74 Charger fenders are a whole different deal. When Chrysler re-engineered the 73 B bodies for the rubber isolated K frame, this changed the entire inner structure of the front end. The fender wheel opening was raised up considerably. The fenders were also changed in the headlight mount area, and where the fenders mount to the rad support.

I'm aware about the 71/74 Charger fenders differences, hence why I didn't mentioned as a fully interchangeable and just mentioned 71 with 72.

I wasn't aware about the 68 and 69 Darts and Coronets headlights provision differences
