.....And wanted to use a carburetor, what are the options for an intake manifold? How about ignition?
I'm guessing that motor mounts and headers are commonly available, right?
Not right away though. The car needs some work.....

Ignition options= MSD Hemi 6, FAST, and Mallory Firestorm if you can find one

Intake manifold= OCP, Indy ModMan, Ritter Dragpak style, MP/Edelbrock dual quad, Holley Hi-ram, and the early MP single 4 or XV Motorsports if you can find one

Weber makes carbed intakes, and I forget who makes the distributor based front plates...

Thanks!
I'd need an intake that would clear a stock hood. I remember hearing about the MSD spark controller but didn't know if it was a hybrid distributor or some electronic setup.

I read nothing but bad things about that Indy Modman.

Let me know if you're interested in the Edelbrock dual 4bbl setup, I have a brand new one in the box I'm not using. This one, along with the OCP unit is likely the only option for fitting under the hood.

Never heard of the Mallory Firestorm before. I can't find much info about it. Will it work with the newer 58 tooth reluctor wheel?

They make both that Nascar/Cascar intake and that front distributor. Wish they were cheaper though.

HEMI Gen3 Front Distributor Kit
Regular price$1,670.00

This kit allows you to run your Gen3 5.7L / 6.1L HEMI without the need of expensive electronics.

*************************************************************************************************************************************************************************

"Without the need of expensive electronics" ??
No, instead you have an expensive adapter to run a distributor!

The distributor kit is pricy but $575 for the intake is not. Very much inline with a lot of quality LS options and for the longest time they were unavailable.

I think your best choice would be the OCP ($679)intake with the MSD Hemi 6( $870 w/harness). The OCP is 4.9" tall so it should fit under stock hood. The owner is very helpful also. Remember the Hemi6 only works 32 tooth tone ring so if your engine is 09+ you need to swap out tone rings. Forget about the Prefix front distributor it was made to run CASCAR.
Depending what you have it might be a wash to go the FI route vs carb,

I was thinking that....A stand alone harness to run the EFI and spark may be another route.

Got to buy an adapter to put oil in it though

I pretty sure you have to go EFI to get it under the hood.....
If you haven't already... Check out the Crop Duster build..

Thanks. That isn't the "Crop Duster" though.

Negative...pop the plate off and use a funnel... adapter is nice but not required.
