These heads will go 400+ cfm, it just takes a good head porter to bring it out in them. There are a number of folks capable of doing this. As an example, my 440-1 heads started out life not being able to flow over 316 in as shipped form with the small 2.19 valve, unported. They are better now.

I HAVE A PAIR OF 572-13 365 CNC HEADS FOR MY 580" MOTOR.INDY SAYS THEY FLOW 395@.700 399@ .800. I HAD MY SHOP CHECK THEM FOR ME,AND THEY ARE NOT CLOSE.THE SHOP SAID THEY HAVE ALOT OF SWIRL IN THE HIGHER LIFTS.THEY ARE NOT DONE YET BUT THE PRELIMARY NUMBERS ARE 369@ .700 AND 360@ .800.WE ARE GOING TO CHECK WITH INDY TO SEE IF WE ARE MISSING SOMETHING,OR NOT DOING SOMETHING RIGHT.MY CAM WITH 1.7 ROCKERS IS AT .800" I CHANGED FROM 1.55 TO GET MORE FLOW.DID NOT EXPECT THE FLOW TO DROP.DO ANY OF YOU GUYS HAVE ANY REAL WORLD FLOW NUMBERS FOR THEESE HEADS? DO THEESE SOUND RIGHT? THANKS FOR ANY INPUT.
I am feeling your frustration! I bought some used 572-13's this winter, and just got them back from the machine shop, where I had them flowed also. My CNC EZ heads flowed 350 from Modern, and they flowed 320 something at this shop. With a 2.35 intake valve the 572's flowed just under 370 at .650, and by .750 were below 350? I was disappointed to say the least. We'll work on them this winter, but I had to take them, and get the car running. The exhausts were ok at 270 without a pipe.

MUST NOT BE DOING SOMETHING RIGHT WITH THE BENCH
All caps indicates the sender is SHOUTING I have found that the flow numbers are easily influenced by the shape of the flow device(hand formed clay, hard mandrel or what ever or none) or lack of a flow mandrell on the intake port and a pipe on the exhuast port. Not all flow benches flow the same on the same head and port, some benches are happy and some are not Not all shops write the actual flow numbers down exactly the way the head flowed, especailly if it is the work they did on them being flowed, some other shops may say the heads flow less than they did on thier bench so they can ("work on them") to make them flow better the second time they "flow them"
No I am not shouting,Thats not my style, I don't know how to type well and I'm half blind so it's hard for me to see these little letters. But anyway, the heads are untouched CNC'D from Indy. I am not going to have the shop do any work on them, I was just having them checked. How can they be so far off from what Indy claims? We're putting a call into Indy today to make sure we are flowing these properly. Thanks for your input. I'll post what Indy says after we talk.
good luck with getting anything from Indy, let us know how that works out for you.?

The 572-13 head is not much better than a 440-1 that it is made from. My hand ported 440-1's go 370 on the intake and the 572-13's wiht a lot of time and $$ go 390-395.
That 390-395 is the real world end of the road for that head, IMO.
