thedrive.com the WORST online car info related site on the web.

Concerning the article, since when do not other companies test competitors products, happens every day in product development.

Whatever the reason if Ferd makes something like the Charger then it will be a piece of junk just like the rest of their fleet... twocents

The funny thing about science is that if you change one miniscule parameter you change the entire outcome to the way you want it.

In a union contract there was something about mustang "variants" having the new 7.3 big block, probably something to do with that. Ford wouldn't be investing in a supercharged big block 4 door charger competitor at this point

That Ford "Godzilla" motor is just plain neat. A cam in block pushrod big displacement V8 designed to support TONS of additional power. Block, crank, rods, pistons and heads ready to take every power adder.

Keep old mopars alive.

Has anyone ever seen a published Brake Specific Fuel Consumption number for the big Ford V8?

When Chrysler brought out the iron truck V10 they published a SAE paper and bragged that it had a better BSFC than the GM 454 V8

https://www.sae.org/publications/technical-papers/content/933033/

I wonder how much the Ford betters the old Dodge V10?

In the “old days” the rough estimate was that it took
10 years to improve
engine efficiency 5%

Yep. Their Inturdceptors rust within a year and have to have hoods roofs and deck lids in sedans repainted within year. Thought the Chargers had early problems in Pursuit form? Nothing like Ferds. They are trying to rival the '76 Aspen/Volare for body integrity and add on a variety of mechanical crap, now in the new SUV's.

Facts are stubborn things.
