Motor is an 68 318 in a newly bought Satellite -68. Runs too good to be stock, got a performer rpm intake with a 1405 edelbrock 600.

Looks to be forged pistons, but can not find anything from the numbers inside pistons. Skirts looks like TRW I had in my 440 engines some 25 years ago, to me?
It was a widow who sold the car to Sweden some 12 years ago, so no history went with the sale.

What is the number stamped on the bottom? Looks like 292-95 but it's really blurry.

Yes, I also suspect these are TRW forged pistons.
Number looks like 292-9X last digit could be anything from 5 to a 9, or an 8.
Pan is back on with new oil. I have an fiberoptic camera at work I could stick in the spark plug hole to look at the top.

Thanks for posting / Tom
