It has never been full yet, and doubt it ever will be. I have always figured that some year 500 cars are going to show up and 100 will be going home. This could be the year. However like Jeff says it has not happened yet. I don't remember where I stole this but it kind of explains all the no shows. Remember the cry to get DW on the East Coast? "If they would just bring it to the East Coast, it will no doubt fill up". Didn't happen. In fact it went down that year. Most people don't realize the cost to make it through one week, without breaking. It drives most away. Add in you now have different Drag and Drive events to choose from. Some have done DW so many times, they want to see new tracks, states, and people. Sometimes life gets in the way, whether good, or bad. Drag Week is a big commitment. Doubt it will fill up, and have people turned away ever.

If you win your class how much does it pay including contingency money? Basically: I've seen so many half lies and incorrect information written by many mag writers that don't know jack didilly crap about our cars and won't correct their errors that make me want to puke I will not support them by participating in their events like this to help them sell their rags unless they help support the winners with financial support We need accurate information, not more myths and lies

Good luck to everybody racing this year! I'm doing Roadkill Nights with mine on Saturday. Will come out to spectate at either Martin or Norwalk I think but am going to hold off on doing it until my car at least runs in the 11's. If it's in the midwest again next year I'm in!!

That was Hurricane Florence...I had to get back to work after meeting yall at Darlington that day b/c we were preparing for the storm. I know you have to register early, but I wonder if some folks saw the forecast and decided not to go? Otherwise, I'd have expected the east coat event to be big.

That was 2018. 2019, it moved to the North East, where everyone said it would be full, and people would have to be turned away. They had lower numbers than 2018. Most people give up once they don't get in on registration day.

I was registered for 2019 and Hurricane Dorian did a fair amount of damage at my house a couple days before the race. So I bailed at the last minute as I didn't want to leave for a week leaving the wife and kids to deal with everything. I'm registered for this year also but also hoping we don't have any storms during that time as it will knock me out again probably. Mid September is bad timing for Drag Week for those living on the south east coast.

I'm signed up to be there in super street small block na It will be interesting how many folks you run into at gas stops that after asking what the engine is, tell you their uncle had one of those NASCAR motors in a Road Runner!

I'm signed up to be there in super street small block na Looks nice! Is that the tire you plan to run? Looks like it might be to big for that class but I don't know the rule off of the top of my head.

Sorting out new build but I'm closing the gap. Finishing would be awesome after this last month of thrash. Hopefully, I'll be there in an orange '69 satellite. I hope to meet mopar brethern during the week, especially Hemi Joel; I feel like I know him after reading his past stories. Dave
