PATC , not PTC is what I have, not high HP about 650ish in a 68 512 cid Charger street car, it is a lock up but only for light throttle, they do make multi disc converters, I had them build it for my combination & it was right on the money 4200 flash, when I had a Carb, now it flashes a little over 5k with the Hilborn EFI & long runners. drives great on the street.

I ordered a Patc 10" lockup back in April. They cannot get parts when I checked up on it in June.
Someone else makes one, I'm not sure who it is. Crt transmission has a video with one and I thought he said Ultimate converter. I phoned Ultimate and they told me they do not have an aftermarket lockup for the 727/518. Maybe have to order through crt.
I ended up having the stock 11" freshened, they couldn't do much for the stall speed. I don't need high stall yet so I can wait for now.

IF you are not married to the lock up I bet you can change the pump and go non lock up. That will open up your options a ton. In a turbo deal the converter is pretty tight most of the time so losing the lock up may not be that big of a deal.

Are you aware of someone making a multi disc converter for 518 gas trans? Only multi discs I have found are for the diesel trans.

The CRT video you are referring to , the converter is from Ultimate converter and trans https://www.facebook.com/UltimateTrans/ I actually have one of their 10 inch lockup converters in my CRT lockup 727 behind my hellcat swap 1970 GTX. It is working great so far.

I did not know there is more than one company starting with ultimate. Thanks.
I use the compushift mini controller and can lock the converter in 2nd 3rd or 4th. I did not want manual switches, it works good.

Thinking about using the 518 behind a Hellcat for a Ramcharger..
