When I did the big block swap on my car I used a passenger side pump housing from 440 Source so I could keep the small block radiator I was using. I was never happy with how it covered the timing marks and decided to switch it over to factory. Got the motor all put back together and had a local shop move the outlet to the radiator to the driver's side. Is there a molded house that would fit this with some trimming? It has to weave around the oil filter and power steering belt, so I don't think a flexible universal hose will do it. Ideas? Thanks...

You don't specify what body style it is, A, B or E?

There are molded lower radiator hoses for all those available, that would be a starting point on what will fit.

Kayse can't keep up at all now. lol

This idea won't help you now but when I built the Duster I fitted a known lower radiator hose to the engine and then marked on the radiator where I wanted the outlet. Then I took the radiator to the shop and had them put the outlet on the mark so my hose would work. I always use the same lower radiator hose on my projects, it is one that has an extra curve in it to go around the oil filter.

It used to be great back in the day when you could go to your favorite auto parts store {1001 auto parts } & eye ball all the hoses hanging around the store & find the best possible fit.

I usually bend up a piece of welding rod to mimic what i need and hit the parts stores sometimes buying several and returning the ones that wouldn't work. PITA but that's how I've done it for years. up beer

That's how I did it for many years.

Thanks everyone. Bent up a piece of 3/16 brake line into the shape I needed and went to Mancini. Was able to find one off the shelf that fit.

i use a chunk of the flexy stuff that was used to connect the air cleaner body to the exhaust manifold tin in the mid to late 70's.
napa calls it "preheater" hose. the part number for the one i use is 819-1126. it's 2" in diameter, and stretches out to 18" or so. i think there is a longer one, but i don't know the part number for it.
it flexes to the shape you need, and will hold that shape. take it to the parts store after you shape it, and compare it to hoses until you find one that will work for you.
when you are done, collapse it back into a straight shape and put it back into the box until the next time.
works for me. your mileage will vary.
