Anybody know of a VERY GOOD/reputable carburetor shop that does race prep (not just rebuilding but true race prep) on Carter carburetors? Thanks...wb

Thumper Carbs! Dominic is very supportive and his tunes are fairly close.

Does Thumper do Edelbrock/Carter carbs?

Need to ask some of the NSS racers since a lot of them use those carbs. Seems like I recall a place in Texas that modifies them...Diamond something racing? I did a quick google search, but didn't find anything.

Thumper Carbs here too.

When we first dynoed our 512 with his modded 950,
we had to make timing adjustments only, his jetting and idle mix was spot-on.

ThumperDart is the go-to guy on Holley platform carbs, but I don't think he does CarterBrocks.

Yeah, I don't know if he does those either. I know I hate messing with them. You can never get rods with the right diameter on them....When I ran them, I found out real quick, their cfm rating was BS.....The new eddy Thunder series seem to work well for a buddy of mine over the older style....He runs twin 800's on his 572 and really likes them.

There is also Dean Oliver 870 830 5470. He is mostly a q-jet guy but he still knows his way around AVS's. Right now Brad is the hot tip for small blocks or Steve Wann for RB's
