Does anybody have a picture of a factory sliding rear window for an 80s w150? Trying to determine if mine is original or aftermarket. Also, does anybody make a rear window gasket for one with the chrome trim that pushes in? I can only find replacements for aftermarket windows without the trim. Thanks

Nobody makes the gasket for the factory slider.

Ok thanks. Are the gaskets that much different for the aftermarket sliders?

From what I remember yes. I can't remember and I haven't verified this but, I think someone used either both the slider and gasket for a 1994-1996 Ford F-150 application but, don't hold me to it as I'm uncertain. I thought I read it somewhere but, can't remember if it was even right.

You can get the aftermarket sliders and gaskets but not the gasket for the factory slider, went through that a couple years ago on my '92. That is why it has a regular rear window in it now and yeah, it's the same as some Ford application. I never used the slider anyway.

Only for the standard rear windows and the aftermarket rear slider that they sell.

That's too bad. I just checked Ebay and no NOS ones right now.

Are you looking for the rubber just for the sliding parts of the window, or the whole gasket? Reason I ask, is I used to have an 84 D350 with a solid glass, and a friend gave me a sliding rear window. I had a glass guy come swap it out, and he reused the same gasket that was around the perimeter opening. Of course, this was about 1990 when the truck wasn't very old.

Im looking for the whole gasket. Maybe I'll just try ordering a regular one then and give it a try.

Aftermarket slider windows use the same gasket as glass. The factory slider windows fit differently and use a different gasket.

A lot of guys say to reuse the factory gasket if you're reinstalling the factory slider anyways[align:right][/align]. The last NOS gasket I saw for a 72-80 dodge truck sold for $200+ shipping about two years ago.

Does anyone have a picture of a factory slider? I believe mine is original, but I'm not positive

Maybe someone could confirm but, this truck looks to have a factory rear slider.

Why do you not just post the inside and outside pictures of your slider?

I don't know what the 80s ones look like but the older ones have bare aluminum frame and sit flat to the back of the cab. If it sticks out or if the top or sides are flat and don't match the window hole it's a pretty good sign it's aftermarket.

I'll try, but I can never get pictures to work on a post.
