Billy Godbold has done a few of late with various webinars and podcasts. Some of it it talking about Comp stuff specifically, but there is some interesting info regardless

Far too many cam explanations leave out 2 factors (1 big, one small): 1. combustion chamber design (shape, volume, stem angle); wedge cam and hemi cam = chalk & cheese 2. rod ratio

What change would you do to a cam if everything was identical but one had much shorter rod stroke ratio?

What change would you do to a cam if everything was identical but one had much shorter rod stroke ratio? Are we betting on whether the answer to this question is ignored or deflected?

What change would you do to a cam if everything was identical but one had much shorter rod stroke ratio? Go ask on speed-talk.com. There are a few very knowledgeable cam grinders, engine builders, and class racers who regularly get into cam debates. I wish Harold was still around. He was the man. I think Vizard may have addressed some of this in his books.
In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.
