My December 1970 Built - 1971 Superbee


I have the factory original cowl screens in place - I obviously threw away the factory screws at some point in the last 35 years and replaced with stainless steel pan head screws

Anyone sell factory original 1971 B Body cowl screen screws ?

I saw some 1971 E Body ones and they where not Phillip screws , but black phosphate 1/4" nut type screws ?

i am no expert.
some had shoulder phillips head screws and some had hex head screws. i cant tell you the exact years and model applications.
on the later years they just snapped in.

I just checked the cowl on my 1/26/71 SPD GTX,has the snap in screens the screw holes are present but I can clearly tell there was never any screws driven through them,the screens are burred in the burred trunk,I know I have parted several 71 Bs & can remember removing screws I actually thought mine where screwed on its only been apart since the early 80s,I most likely have both types around somewhere including the screws.

My sept 70 Windsor built '71 RR has screw in screens.
