Pretty darn appealing IMO and maybe not an outrageous price? $99k

Had a big feature in a mag or two last year. There is a YouTube video out there with an interview of the original owner.

He was at Carlisle a few weeks ago, one of the pics shows a Carlisle emblem in the background, though it could’ve been from a previous year. I didn’t stop to look as I didn’t want my tongue to drag on a fender😛

Great car if you are into paying 100k for a car that probably needs another 20-30 k to put it in pristine condition.
I get the originality thing, but i would rather buy one “ done” for that kind of money
That engine bay looks tired

There is a great video on you tube interviewing the original owner after the new owners got it running and driving.

Car has been for sale at least a year.

1st i saw it. It was i think 125k.????
For the condition.... imo.....to much money then And still is.

I know of a really nice 1968 GTX hemi auto sold recently for under 80k .
I know of a couple other sales of similar. Both well under 100k ....all 3 are / were good looking cars

From what ive seen. For a 68-69 hemi car to pull over 100k it better be something special

Edit.....And pre fade yellow with tan interior aint it.

I think the car is something special, but it's not the kind of special that people want to pay for.

Problem is the car might be original, but it’s not super low miles so the wear just makes it look raggy. If it had say 20k miles it would’ve likely been sold long ago for the ask. Been awhile since I read the story, but it might even be getting time for a tear down.

It's very cool, but looks like it was beaten on.
(Hell, my 300,000-mile Breeze is much nicer cosmetically)
Body & paint are at a tipping point to my eye, and I think the interior color is arguably the least desirable choice.
#s Hemi 4-speeds aren't exactly falling out of the skies, though. Can't say the guy's way out of line, but I'd look for a nicer one myself at $80-90,000.
Y2 is a funny deal - kinda like green cars, some hate 'em and some like 'em.
I was frankly surprised at how many here & elsewhere like my Y2 RR, as I'd been previously told what a "lame" color it was.
(I'm fine with it - 17,000-mile '69 383 RRs in near-mint condition aren't falling from the skies either...)

It’s cool, but I couldn’t live with the color.

If I had the money and the price was right it would not bother me one second.
And I like bling.
It is way to beat paint wise for me it would end up with a respray same color if I owned it.
Sorry.

Y2 doesn't bother me by itself, but Y2 with tan is not my thing. Y2 with white or black, or maybe some other unusual color, different story.
