Trying to find info to id old 426 hemi parts. Where do you guys find this info? For example 2946222 is pounded into the top of the piston. Google turns up nothing.

For stock parts I'd start going through parts books. For example I looked at both '66 and '67 parts books and the Hemi pistons of those two years all start with 28-----.

In many cases, the number on the part isn't the same as part number in the book.
