I agree 2nd GEN chargers need no modifications they are timeless just the way they are!

Put a little over 30 miles on the car this morning. I stopped at a small airport to snap a few pictures by a very cool old hanger. Car ran and performed well! A few small glitches, biggest being the speedometer is not working. I need to troubleshoot if it’s a cable, gear or gauge problem?
Thanks
Pat

Absolutely beautiful Pat. Having finished my build I know what you went through. Your build went beyond and over the top. Master craftsmanship at its ultimate period. Did I say period.

Great car, great thread.
If the odometer worked then the speedometer head is inop.

Put the car on the pro-form scales today. It looks like all of the weight savings between the aluminum engine, bumper mounts, 9” rear and RMS coil over suspension shaved off 300 lbs from the factory weight of a hemi 4 speed car. This is amazing considering all of the additional unibody reinforcements I made to the car. My car is 3/4 full of fuel and weighs 3664 lbs. Specs I find online for a factory hemi 4-speed, Dana car comes in at 3974 lbs. That is awesome considering I was shooting for about 200 lbs lighter! The other cool thing is that it’s a bit better than a 45/55 split.
Thanks
Pat

What can I say, wow wow wow, what a top notch build, I adored every bit of the 45 pages.

I'm just about to install a power antenna on my 69 charger that doesn't even have a fender hole for the antenna. May I ask if this is the antenna you used? Would you remember what fender angle adapter you needed?

https://www.retromanufacturing.com/...omatic-power-antenna?variant=31333675406

I'm thinking of using this one https://www.retromanufacturing.com/collections/antennas/products/fully-automatic-mini-power-antenna

Thanks for any help!

Order the one in the link I have below it has the correct Mopar looking antenna base. Check with Crutchfield they may have it $40 cheaper than when buying it. Good luck with your building thanks for checking out my project!

That is the plan!! My daughter-in-law is trying to talk me into building her the green beetle in the movie.
I may have to find a Volkswagen forum to start that build;-)
Thank You!

Picked up the next car a 1966 Pontiac GTO a few weeks ago in Minnesota. Original paint, chrome, interior, engine, trans, and rear! Unmolested 61,000 mile surviver. Car only had 16000 miles in 2002. Amazing documentation from all 3 owners.

No restoration for this car just paint correction cleaning and detailing preservation!

Drove it 1200 mile back home, used/ leaked 1/2 qt of oil. Ran great and made about 13+ mpg.

Thanks
Pat

That GTO is sharp! I love Pontiacs too. A lot of the same rebellious spirit in that division as in Ma MOPAR. twocents

Making progress on the new shop. All the electrical work is complete just waiting for BG&E our local power company to hook up the meter. I was concerned that the slab was a little thin for the two post lift so I opted to cut two 4’x 4’ holes and had two 5’x 5’x 14” slabs poured. Also insulated both of the 12’ x 12’ doors. Cabinets and lift will be here first of the year.
Thanks
Pat

Nice shop Pat!

I like those lights. What are they?

Big Ass fan is a nice addition.

Jackshaft door operators as well!

What is the size? Ceiling looks to be 12-14'?

Exterior shot?

Keep us posted on your next project.
