Thinking of selling my '69 Coronet 500. I've had it for ~20 years and it's in bare metal (project never finished). 318 car with everything present except windshield, front seat and Coronet 500 side trim. Little rust in lower quarters, right toeboard one corner of rear window. Both quarters have previous body work in front of wheel well (from dents, not rust).

In todays world what should I ask/take for this car?

That's a clean body, would love to make that into a thrash rod.

I'm not very good at the modern day wiw but I did just look at a 69 Coronet 500 383 2bbl with a 440 over the weekend. The car was pretty rough but saveable. Still needed quarters and frame patches also missing correct seats. Asking $7500 and still for sale. Your car is way cleaner so good luck.

So, one member is thinking maybe as high as $8K. I didn't think it would be worth that much (though I would like it to be).

Any other thoughts?

If it was a Bee or RR, could be as much as $12,500.
I'd say you're back of that because it's a 318 500.
Maybe ask $10K ? You can always go down if need be.

I'm not sure I'd do much more than 5 if that. There's going to be a whole lot of money just in parts to bring that one around. And they just don't have the following to bring the big $$. But maybe a bit more depending on what the buyer has in mind twocents beer

I was thinking $4500 myself but I liked hearing $8000 up

I have a feeling that somewhere in between the two is probably about right.

I thought of that but I have SOOO much to do and I just don't have time. If I was going to go that far I would just finish it and keep it.

I just bought a complete and together 68 Coronet roller for 2500. I doubt I could sell it for much more than 4000. It’s together and rust free. Texas car.
