Tonight at our Wednesday "Guys" night a buddy showed me a pic of the bugs that were swarming on his yellow 70 Super Bee while it was in the garage a few days ago.

He blew them off with an air hose the first time and the next day they were back.

He blew them off again and so far they haven't returned.

He texted me the pic so I could ask the bug experts on here. laugh2

He's worried that since it's an older garage they could be termites.

No expert but looks like either termites and larva or ants and larva.

Smash a bunch of them. If you smell citronella, they're citronella ants that are easily mistaken for termites and completely harmless. If you don't smell citronella, keep investigating.

How many body segments do they have? 3 segments is an ant, 2 segments is a termite.

when I got my car the PO had painted it a bright yellow. When I would take it to work on afternoon, as soon as it got dark it would get covered in little bugs. And it was a metal building, so they weren't termites.
