For one my kids would know not to touch what is not theirs, and pay for what they damaged.

Youth and high performance are not a good combination.
When you’re the teenage son of a billionaire, you might have access to things others only dream about. This can include a $3.4 million Pagani Huayra Roadster that’s 1 of 1, a hypercar which would challenge some of the more experienced drivers out there. This combination of extreme performance and youthful inexperience didn’t play out well in the end.

Nope, I wouldn't kill him. Eventually with the attitude he has, somehow, some way, he will take care of that chore by himself.

While not the same thing at all, while my son was driving his warmed up 383/4sp '67 Barracuda to high school one of his classmates was driving a Viper. Word is that the kid's dad invented those sweatshirts with the thumbhole up the sleeve to keep your hand warm. They were called Hand Cuffs or something like that...

The fact that any of that was an acceptable idea to he kid shows dad might not have taught the kid to be responsible. There's blame everywhere there.

If daddy can afford a 1 of 1 supercar, the son may get his hands slapped, and may see more restrictions on his driving for a couple of weeks.
Daddy will just write a check and get a new 1 of 1 super car.
Sadly, nothing more will happen. The super rich live in a different world then we do.

This happened like last year? If someone believing msn news source? This guy pretty much had his dads ok and doesn’t lots of stuff with exotic cars. In fact, there have been like 40 wrecked exotics in the last 2 months and some of those were big dollar cars too. I’m just glad nobody died and they can just enjoy what they like to do, play with high end cars.

You guys didn't do burnouts and donuts and race people in high school?
I feel sorry for you.

Donuts and racing in my car? Yes. In my father's car? Never.

I didn't invite the 80's equivalent of a youtube clown to my house so we could abuse my dad's things to get attention no. I respected my father, he was a good man. I did more stupid things than anyone else in my family yes but it was all on me personally. This kid doesn't care about anything or anyone else.

Meh.
He's a kid. Maybe he shouldn't drive a Pagani with a Mercedes motor, maybe he could cause a fiery crash in a Hyundai.

Oh, I did burn outs in my Dads 1969 Ford Torino Cobra Jet 428 and bent the rear trailing arm, I had to pay for and fix the damage. Plus I got grounded for a month as well. It taught me a life lesson.

i recall driving dad's 4 door Oldsmobile in high school. There was that one night I drove it (it was a fun night), but the next morning, the transmission wouldn't move the car. Because I was the last one to drive the car with a functioning transmission, dad reasoned that I was the guy that got to buy and install the replacement transmission, which I did.
I rebelled and bought my own car. Dad didn't say a thing (other then the expectation of repayment) when he loaned me the money to buy the replacement transmission for my car.... I think dad was pretty smart.

My oldest was a Junior in HS and thought it would be really cool to take my Mustang to the first day of soccer practice and look cool. We have traffic circles and as he was going, it started to rain. Into the circle he went and tried to shift coming out. For those not familiar with 06 Mustangs, if you look online you can find many with smashed up rears. He found out why as the rear came out and right into a guardrail he went. Naturally, he knew better than to drive my car so he had to call and tell me. I first asked if he was okay. Then I asked if the car was driveable. He managed to get it home and when I got home from work I took a look. Then I told him there were 2 ways to handle this. We could call the insurance company and let them pay for it, but his insurance was going to go sky high, or, he could take the car into the garage, take the front apart and fix it himself. He choose the later. Fortunately the neighbor who is a body man gave him a hand and got parts painted. It only took 1 week and cost him $2700 for parts and paint. I never blew my lid which I think shocked him but I'll tell you what, none of the cars move now magically.

I agree. For us a $200 or $2000 dollar beater may be a big loss but to some people even a 2 Million dollar car is a beater an not a big loss.

I and most of my high school friends had many a story of what we did to our dad's cars. Only one of us totaled them but still the dad's were pretty torqued. I lucked out and my dad found out about me impaling his new truck on a steel bar when he was 10 hours away. He had time to cool off before he got home. Lol.
