to place order guy got smart with me I guess they don't need my money I have been buying from them for.over 50 years I have bought 95 percent of my stuff from them not no more. Call summit the guy was very professional look up a couple of thing I did not have part numbers for and was happy to do it they got my business from now on spent right at 800, with them that JEGS did not want Not making excuses, but i work on the phone all day at a paint supplier, everyone has a bad day or bad timing, you may have caught the guy on an off day, or he had a hard time with a customer before you, or his wife is cheating on him, or his kid got arrested for DWI...... All that is NO excuse not to give great customer service, but you simply may have caught him at the wrong time. Now you are 100% correct, in your feeling to go to a competitor. Im just trying to let you know from the "other side" As a phone salesperson i get a lot of rude customers, so it is not easy to be "nice" to every caller. All that being said, i have used Jegs and SUmmit and have pretty much NO complaints about either.

There's an old adage; "One bad apple don't spoil the whole bunch". One bad experience after "buying from them for over 50 years" doesn't seem like that bad of a record. Why not just call their customer service and report the incident rather than move to a different supplier and bad mouth them here? They may well appreciate the opportunity to make it right and might have saved you some trouble. But you'll never know now, will you?
It is almost impossible to find and keep competent help anymore. This situation will unfortunately likely become the new normal.

I like both places the same. No real issues with either of them so far. I tend to order from Summit a little more since the Nevada store is closer so I can get things slightly faster if needed. Same with me here in PA. Jegs takes an extra day sometimes and Summits next day. Never really had any trouble with either.

What really pissed me off about Jegs was when I ordered an ATI a powerglide case and they charged my card. After not getting the case and Jegs acting like it was shipped I first called ATI and they said we may not have that case even made this year. Next call was to Jegs asking why they charged my card and their answer was that’s the way we do business. So you may want to keep an eye on that.

Summit and jegs don't have many ..........ALL MOPAR sale-man, people need to know that. At one time we had two summit guys on Moparts but I’m not sure about now. On Abodiesonly a member introduced himself to us and told us what is going on and what they are dealing with. All I can say is for awhile you better be making your plans five steps ahead of the time you need something. And that goes for stuff American made and from China.

I'll probably show my age on this one, but noticed when I went back to buying from them recently that Summit no longer has the small section dedicated to Mopar in their catalog any more. I did recently try to get something in two days from Summit. Paid for the 2 day shipping and it did not arrive as requested. They were quick to resend the order, then I had to send the second one back when the first arrived a day late. Probably the only issue I ever had with either of them. I know shipping is tricky these days, so I did not hold that against them.
I try to support smaller folks when possible. I think Todd at Marsh performance is a great guy, and I would always buy from him when possible. Folks like him have dedicated their lives to supporting us Mopar folks, and that is becoming harder and harder to find.

I really like Todd. He is a no BS guy. I've found him to be great to deal with and for big ticket items he is who I'll go to. But for small ticket items or wheels and tires I go directly to Summit. They are a 25 minute drive away.

Summit has a much better return policy.
I bought a jegs brand fuel pump and the base gasket leaked, it was torn. I called asked for a new gasket to fix the pump they couldn't get me one, but would gladly take the part back, I pay the shipping. This was a new part less than 30 days old that was junk out of the box. I asked them to cover my return Ship and they said they don't do that.
