State of Confusion
So I am putting together a 440 for a fun street truck, and was kicking around the idea of having the engine ID pad machined then stamping it to appear as if it were a 1988 440HP block to match the production year of the truck.

Everyone knows there isn't such a thing, but just for a fun personal touch I thought it might be a nice easter egg for anyone looking over the engine.

I have no idea, but find an '88 360 and duplicate it except for the "360" part

8T440 is what a 1978 block said. Not sure what the factory would've done for 1988. Maybe they would've changed codes by then.

Who cares what the factory may have stamped it, I think I'd stamp it "88HP440" or "88TNT440" .

Can we get the Mexican cartels to help us with our supply chain issues? They don't seem to have any trouble getting stuff from one place to another.
