I am getting closer to the end of a 360 LA project.
Long story here. So my quick question is, Has anyone ever seen a A/C Delete Double Pulley for an RV2 Compressor?
This would let one remove the A/C clutch, remove the RV2 Cast compressor. And then bolt in the delete kit with double belt pulley, so I could add the A/C at a later date.
I could have sworn that I have seen these on some cars and truck late 70's to mid 80's
Any input would be greatly helpful, and maybe you have one in your Box O extra parts.
Picture of a RV2 Compressor attached.

i just sold this exact setup to a member here a couple of weeks back. it came from a 74 chrysler newport with a 400. as the pulley setup was attached to only the water pump housing, it worked on his 440. the same pulley arrangement was also used on trucks in the 70's, but i can't say the exact year range.

I guess this later style for LA small block wouldn't work? I have one of these from '88 Diplomat Police. Sure looks different I know.

Larry that might be it. The only thing I need to find out is if that 88 Cop car had the RV2 compressor. Although I believe that it would have had the Aluminum style C171 compact A/C and I see that Bad guy hauler has the 100amp alternator. So that large bracket is special to those parts. I will send you a PM. Thanks PLY 478

Sorry it did not have the RV2 it had the crappy round one I just thought someone might chime in and say there's a way to use later idler pulley and they've done it.

Or an 80s 318/360 vehicle that has the old style alternator. They still use the older style alternator bracket not the big one that wraps around the passenger side of the AC compressor.

79 was last year for the RV2 and when they changed compressors they all changed the intake. Had to move the thermostat location a little bit to clear.
A/C delete idlers on 70s cars are pretty uncommon - I mean how many non a/c late 70s cars have ya really seen? A bodies sure, but extremely rare on B and C bodies. Best bet here is find an factory parts book, look up the bracket numbers, start messaging people on FB. I hate to endorse that place but it's the new go to and where I found the idler setup for big block truck water pump w/o A/C. Oddly enough, at least part of that setup was also used for mounting air pumps on big block C bodies.

I just sold a 78 non-a/c bigblock Cordoba I had bought for parts. I could ask the buyer if he'd let that piece go. He's looking for small block bracket.
