Anyone here familiar with these? Trying to find out what the direct swap with GM parts is for a 70 Electra 225 that has a fixed column/no cruise. Owner would like to put in a tilt column/cruise setup, does not want aftermarket cruise.

I think '69 & '70 GM full size columns are the same, steering wheel proper is tilt/model specific. Good luck finding OEM working cruise parts. We've given up, Dad turns 87 this year and doesn't want to pursue CC repair or retrofit anymore. After he got the car painted the shop lost the servo and bellows, holy [censored] they're expensive when you can find them, odds are overwhelming they don't work when you do.

Yeah, I tried to tell him that an aftermarket unit like Rostra would be the way to go. I figured a tilt column would be easy enough to find, maybe? But the cruise...just do an aftermarket. He doesn't want to do that, though.

I wonder if an aftermarket setup would work with an OEM Cruise Control lever? I know Rostra sells the late 70s style, but not the earlier ones that were (outwardly) make/model specific.

Dakota digital was the one I'd settled on. It has an option for a turn signal lever to control the cruise really similar to the original GM setup. Dad just never followed through and now kinda wants to sell the car to help settle his affairs. Working on carbs, tune up and steering wheel today. Looking for horn buttons, made of unobtainium these days, sigh...

i have a tilt/telescopic column from a 70ish cadillac.
i can get measurements for what ever area you need, and any pics you need for reference.
however, it doesn't have the cruise control on the turn signal switch. if i remember correctly, the cruise switch was on the dash.
