This cam has some purple showing and the number 2402722 is cast into the cam. What do I have?
2402 numbers are on a lot of max wedge parts. ?? Thanks.

Mopar has never I.D their Hi Po after market cams with casting numbers or part #s etched into the ends
the only way I know of finding out which version of their cams you have is to install it into a block and degree it and hope you have a true Mopar brand cam and not some other better brand with some purple paint someone slop on it

you could measure a lobe with a set of calipers and get an idea of what the lobe lift is and go from there. that number doesn't match up to the 300-308/.520 max wedge cam info i have.

The number is not on the end it's between the rear bearing and the back lobe,
it is not stamped or etched but it's like a casting number in reverse
I've seen dozens of Mopar cams but this is something new to me. The number 2402722
makes me think it is max wedge related. I'll do some measuring.

I measured this cam and it's a 'baby', certainly not a max wedge cam.
