I agree needs Polyglas for sure.
And Rally wheels look much better on a loaded car IMHO

Needs wheels and tires for sure.....rear of shaker is too low? Lose fog lights and hood pins. Leave automatic for easy cruising. Trunk lid back lip needs adjusting. Bahama yellow would've popped! But I'd love to have it!

Interesting how in one picture the body color is GY3 under the rocker trim, and in another it is blacked out properly.

Also pet peeve, if it is an original V6X car those tail light marker housings would be black as well. They stick out like a sore thumb.

Dash pad looks like a repro judging from the DS corner pic.

A lot done to this car.

Agree as well the wheels need changing as well...

Nice rig. I bet he wants $150k for it.

We'll see if it goes higher than this one:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/1847592169...rue&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

which is a REAL four-speed car (at least acc. to the FT).

In defense of the owner you coment about the stripe and the rear marker are inncorrect. the billboard stripe was shipped in the trunk of the car . the billoard stripe was installed by the Dealer if at all lots of billboard car never installed due to the difficult installation process. It depends on the trim guys whether or not the marker housingwas taped

I love painted steel wheels, they look great IMO, but I do concur that a loaded car would likely have rally wheels

most "loaded" cars actually have ROAD wheels: RALLYE wheels were ~$50 VS. ROAD wheels being ~$100

per the b'cast sheet this car had OPTIONAL T87 tires (F70-14 w/RWL) & W21 RALLYE wheels (14x5.5")

I tend to believe this is true.I bought a 71 Cuda convertible from the second owner. It was coded for billboards. He bought it in 1980 with original paint that was fading. He had it repainted. I asked why he didn’t put the big stripe back on. He said “what stripe”. It never had a stripe.

URBAN LEGEND - I don't buy it

the factory wasn't able to put a decal on a 'cuda quarter panel but the factory was able to do full woodgrain down the side of a station wagon

these guys on the assembly line would've been decal "KINGS" after the first 40 hour week of being paid to do that job & you think the employees at a dealership are going to have more experience realcrazy

And the marker housings were never “taped” they were painted black. Did some miss that process? Maybe.

please pay closer attention to what I post , as I didnot say the factory was not able to put the Billboard on ,I said it was shipped in the trunk with the car for the dealer to install , as i was told it was insure that the Billboard was not damaged in transport . As a young mant at the age of 16-18 I worked at the local dealership on weekends and during the summer. my job was cutting grass and washing cars and usually helped the trim tech occassionaly apply stripes and other items. You can believe what you will ,thats just happens to the way it was in my little corner of the world. As a MOPAR guy Ive had quite a few Billboard cars (lots of high optioned performance cars due to good paying factory jobs in my day) . Don't remember seeing any painted marker lites in the 70's but then again sometimes I don't remember the speed limit either.just m,y experiences.

If that was the case wouldn’t there be some sort of instruction sheet or sticker for installing the decals that came in the trunk? Has anyone ever seen one of those sheets, you’d think at least some would still exist and they’d be reproduced now.

Personally, I wouldn't count the car you are referring to that previously sold on ebay
