Considering dying the faded areas on an original survivor carpet. What product and process will yield the best results?

SEM is fine. I've done it to black, but the carpet tends to look a tad flat where it's been sprayed in certain lighting conditions. Almost better to dust the whole thing to kinda blend it out if there appears to be a difference. Also don't go crazy as too much makes the carpet crunchy.

i use whatever black paint i have around..spray it on and rub it in with an old rag..doesn't get stiff and crunchy that way and looks great usually..
