What's the average K frame lead time before the SPD of a vehicle,Im considering a K frame with a date code of 3280 Nov.24 1970 for my 71 GTX with SPD 1/26,thats aprox.2 months lead time,is that too much or is it possible.

If your car is a Lynch Road Assembly (LRA) plant car then from what I've seen it's closer to one to two weeks not months. A lot of LRA cars seem to be more like a few days prior to the SPD from previous threads here. Still would like to keep that thread active. Brings up a question for me as to where (and when) the K-frames were made/assembled in the plants. Were they part of Body-In-White or that general area of the plants?

IMO two months prior to SPD is a stretch but not totally out of the question but not likely from what has been posted.................for LRA cars that is.

I know this is a '72 but it is the closest I have detailed info on - lots of mid-November '71 and earlier dates

St. Louis built 1972 GTX * Scheduled C08 (12/8/71) * door sticker 12-71 * K-frame 314 1 1 (WED. 11/10/71)

Even though the OP doesn't have a LRA car, I do...and that comment helps me. So thanks.
