I'd like a quart of single stage urethane for the insides of the doors and panels below the quarter windows (68 Road Runner). I'm a little hesitant to buy from auto color library without seeing it first. I know it's a lighter shade than the RR1 Burgundy Poly exterior color. I tried googling the number one time and it came up orange. Is there a current PPG code or is the old Ditzler 50756 still a good number?

I bought some Aztec Maroon interior paint from Mopaints many years ago and it was nothing like any maroon I've seen, it was definitely gold/copperish!

just tried that PPG number in my touch mix and nothing comes up. Do you have a good sample of it that is on a flat surface? Take it into a PPG jobber and have a rapid match reading done on it if the gloss level is good. Other paint brands offer the scanning as well.

the exterior paint was the same color (& paint code) as the Upper Door Frame paint
- the difference being Upper Door Frame paint was originally lacquer for its quick drying properties and the exterior paint was acrylic enamel (& baked)

I appreciate all the replies guys! I thought I remembered the upper door frames being a lighter shade, but then again the car had been repainted at some point so it would be easy for them not to match. I've seen a lot of variations of this color on 68s at Carlisle. Some look almost brown and some more reddish. I think I'll get the color for the car the way I want it and use the same thing on the interior. A local guy mixed me a quart of basecoat that I did the dash, steering column, and a few other non glare pieces in. Not quite the same texture as the suede but it looks good. Thanks again!

It's a Ditzler/PPG code but it comes out as orange. Weird...
