Does anybody have any pictures of a restored 1970 318 engine? A previous owner painted the original engine in my car a Ford dark blue and left the rebuilt heads a gray color. After scraping all the oil and crud off the block and intake it seems to have the original turquoise paint on those parts. I'm in the process of doing a teardown gasket kit on it as the engine runs great and doesn't burn any oil but the gaskets are dried out and leaking like crazy from sitting for 30 years. I also want to see what some of the other correct finishes are on brackets and dipstick tube and stuff. It's not as easy to find restored 318 pics as opposed to 340's! I'm just looking to get this engine back together as close to original looking as possible.

If you can find pictures of the B7 70 Duster that took OE Gold a few years back that would be your reference. Car was restored by a shop in RI.

Thank you for the pics. That 71 engine compartment looks great! I will also have to find pics of that B7 Duster. I had forgotten about that car but it was mint. I saw it at Carlisle the year it debuted.

"Corporate blue" engines, not turquoise in 1970

That car was the first one that came to mind when I read this topic, I think this is it?
