sample quote

As for the transmission, the owner said that he had to go through 12 NV4500 transmission changes before he learned how to replace it with a G56 six-speed gearbox that's currently installed right now. Yes, twelve.

When asked whether he plans to buy a new truck to replace his workhorse, the owner declined because he wants a mechanical engine bay he can work on, something that newer trucks don't have. In fact, he's about to replace the current engine with a new one soon. Talk about loyalty.

Wait, so he's only getting 500k out of his Cummins engines? What's he doing wrong?

Only about 100k out of an NV4500? Whats he doing wrong?

Has he heard about this thing called oil?

Fer crise sakes watch the whole video and pay attention Mo' Farts before commenting. rolleyes You Clueless Idiots might just learn something.........especially open your ears at the comment by the Owner at 11:10 to 11:15 mark.

Absolutely no arguments here about a single word the Owner says.

I went through 7 NV4500's on my 99 dually, those transmissions are NOT made for heavy duty anything. I should have replaced it with an NV5600 after the second one... tsk Also went through 3 G56's on my 2007...

The funny thing about science is that if you change one miniscule parameter you change the entire outcome to the way you want it.

My 2004 3500 has 311,000 on it, with only 1 transmission rebuild. It is leading an easy life now with me only putting about 1,000 miles per year on it. My only complaint about the truck is random electrical issues that pop up once in a while.

Thus the reason I sold my 2004, the infamous TIPM. I replaced it once, then again, then gave up on it. Too many issues with the electrical system and Chrysler would not help with an issue that they know all about... mad

Electrical, the scary part for all new vehicles. Those gremlins are jumping up in my 15 SRT as we speak. Just payed off and extended warranty just ran out, now engine light came on saying something amiss in the evap system.

Yes - It makes me think the truck is not 100% reliable, especially for long trips. It has never stranded me, though.
