Looks like its running pretty good to me! Is the chassis certified? If not, you really cant run any quicker unless you get that done. We were there testing my car and seen you running it, and my buddy that was helping me checked it out and said you were running a Gen3 hemi.

Very cool setup!

The Wallace Calculators have an "ideal" calculation which you can base on any part of your time slip. I find it useful to see if there is any portion of the run that could be improved. If you plug in your mph109.33 your ET should be 6.22 and your 60 ft should be 1.37. If you use your 6.32 ET, then your 60 ft is spot on and you are fast, as it says you should go 107.55. I would lean toward the idea that you may have some 60ft left to be found.

'75 Plymouth Duster
Phase I 451 906/590/2-660 10.75/126
Phase II 451 Stage VI/590/1050 9.82/135
Phase III 383 906/Victor-Pump gas 11.30/119

It's off a solid tenth plus in the 60, how wide are your rear wheels?

Thank you, yes the chassis is certfied but not the driver. Not sure I want to go through the hassle If capital opens back up maybe I can make a few passes there since it is IHRA but I like going to MD better.

Wheel is wide enough, have a pic of your 4 link showing all 4 attachment points?

If it was a regular la type small block I would say you need way more converter. My sons 360 has a 5600 and my 422 has a 5775 stall in it. That 60 foot needs help real bad. I know nothing about the gen 3’s through.

422 Indy headed small block

Nice car! Yeah, MPH shows it has more ET. I like using the different formulas in Wallace as a guide.

I think you know you should have hit the brakes or at least lifted before the finish line.
I calculate you were 18 feet ahead, took way to much stripe. Result: lost due to break-out

With a 3-speed trans, that sixty foot does look slow. My guess is it needs more stall speed.
What RPM do you shift?

Thanks to everyone for trying to help. This is all pretty new to me since this is my first drag car and first race car with a transmission. A little history.. I built the current engine about 18 months ago. Originally I used a stock junkyard 5.7 that was used for mock-up.

I think you might be right. I ordered a new 5000 stall converter when I put this new engine in. When I initially ran the car it had no stall & 1.7 60'. Sent the converter back and they said they made drastic changes.

That run was 7k

Best so far is a 10.10 but that was not a perfect run as far as shifting goes.

60' may be a little soft for a 3 speed, but the 1/8 mile mph seems really good for the ET. I would expect with that the car would pulled really well thru the 1/ 4 and be into the high 9s. I'm thinking if your shifting at 7K your convertor is to tight and the combo would benefit from a looser one.

I think you need to work on driving the car on other end so you can use both feet to win up scope
I use to pull up beside my opponent in the staging lanes and try and have our front tires align with each other and then look out the window to see what his, or hers, car would like at the other end if we were dead even and try to make sure to try and lead him as little as possible and still get their first.
Bracket racing ain't easy and it takes some skill and work when your racing the better racers to help you win scopeup
To be the best you have to beat the best up
And that ain't me anymore whiney

Need chassis at ride height with driver weight in it, full load of fuel, and proper tire pressure, to measure 4 link points, to plot instant center.

Then the fun starts lol.

I know the fun is just starting.
I have watched a few of Kevin Wilson's videos on suspension tuning.

You car is going to be like my car.....You can watch 100 videos and realize there are 100 ways to tune a 4 link suspension, but way number 101 is what will work lol. Every car is different....And don't get caught up in AS numbers.... hammer
