cool color combo!

talk about something "RARE" - one of ~628 built 50+ years ago (1968 Satellite 2-door hardtop w/225 & 3-speed manual transmission) - very few would've survived

twocents there are Road Runners and clones available everywhere - it would be a shame to build anything but a /6 Satellite out of this car ...... not that it appears to need anything but TLC

Is that original paint? Is it solid underneath? I'd go with $10k if so.

Earning every penny of that moderator paycheck.

All I can tell as far as condition is it needs a serious detailing and a front seat cover.
Running, driving, and how well, rust, body damage, all obviously important.
1st thought though is what y'all are saying, $10,000 if it's decent and the above all check out.
I think that price would be a slam dunk if it was a V8.
Color scheme, especially a factory black, is very cool and a bonus.
The Slant 6 would be a negative for most, but a positive for someone who wants something rare & different.

I'd put a V8 in it and not make it a road runner clone.

Can't see keeping the slant is such a car. I had one in a Dart years ago and had to work the gas pedal hard to keep up with traffic. These days when everyone does 5-8 min, over the speed limit you'd be in the way in a slant powered B body.

If it’s rust free it’s worth a bit more than that. 12-15k pending inspection. Seat cover and big block swap and you’ve got a cool car under 20k. I’ll be the one to say it. Let’s be real, nobody wants a slanty in a car like that. That’s a poor mans roadrunner in a world of 30k rough real ones.

I want my fair share

Drive it as a slant 6. You will get a lot more interest at Cars and Coffee or a regional show in the original combination than you will ever get if it has a swap. It is so unique.

Drivetrain swap, what a waste. Just about every car is cooler than a 68-70 B-body with a swap.

Modern drivetrain swap, how much do you want to be upside down? Why would anyone even waste their time looking at it?

If you want to go fast, just buy a modern Challenger, Camaro, or Mustang.

I get the original is cool and unique, but still think the slant would get old fast. Not enough zing to keep up with contemporary traffic where I live. The fact that it's a manual helps it somewhat.

If someone 's first concern is keeping up in traffic, just buy a used Toyota Corolla or Honda Civic. Either one is more dependable, is cheaper to operate, and is a lot safer.

Given the average age here, the event horizon for getting any return out of a swap left the gate a while ago.

Let's see swap. First value your time at nothing, or less than nothing. Replace Torsion bars. Replace rear end. Find a driveshaft. Junkyard motor or rebuilt? Find the miscellaneous parts you will need. Time to do all this. Did I mention value your time at nothing to have something many will look at as a worthless swapped project?

There's a Nissan commercial running now "Remember when driving was run?"

I do, and a /6 with 3 on the tree was never involved.

Put a 4 speed, with a stroker RB or a proper hemi in it, and now you're taking. And get rid of that 7-1/4 rear end while you're at it.

Yeah, I’d cry a short crocodile tear (lol) as I was yanking that poor slanty out and replacing it with the 68 383 and matching 4 speed I have sitting in the parts shed waiting for a perfect home....like this. So....where is this fine representation of a candidate for a 383 four speed, I’d love to adopt it grin wave

I had a 71 Barracuda convertible slant six car,it was the slowest car I ever owned. I bought a rusty 71 Challenger R/T 383 car with a fresh rebuilt drivetrain and swapped all of it into the convertible! It was the best thing to do with a slant 6 car. It was one of 163 built, but rare and desirable are two different things!

I may pause, and look at a Slant 6 car at a show. But, it wouldn’t hold my interest. After owning a few A-Body /6 cars as daily drivers, I’d never go back to one.

My son would swap in a modern Hemi without any questions. Then he would drive the wheels off of it. The last thing on his mind would have anything to do with any resale value it may or may not have.

Its the best of both worlds in our family, a cool older car with the modern power and brakes, something you can actually drive and enjoy. No need to be concerned about its value.

Most of the people on the streets don't care how original old cars and trucks are, they are happy to see them, and happy to see get used.

The joy of driving has been replaced with the joy of greed! Its not always about money! Gene
