Hi,

Can anyone recommend a reputable shop that knows 727's and can do a good performance rebuild in Maryland? I know that I can get a good transmission from someone like Cope Racing or A&A, but I'd prefer to avoid shipping costs and have someone rebuild my own transmission.
All of the shops nearby cater mainly to GM transmissions, so I'm not very confident that they know how to build a HP 727. So please recommend a shop in Maryland or in a surrounding state.

Thanks

I dont know where you are in MD, but Roger's transmissions in Mechanicsburg PA is a great start. He is VERY knowledgeable when it comes to chrysler trannys, and the several times he did work for me, priced very reasonably. He also really likes when people bring him transmissions, rather than him having to pull it out of a car.

Thanks for the response, Moparjim! I'll definitely look up his info give him a call.

No problem driving to PA. It's not too far from me and I'm willing to drive 150 miles for a good trans shop.

Hi Monteclaire, is he the owner of Dynamic Converters? If so, he's also a good candidate. Looks like he has a website too with some info. Thx!

Call AJ at Bob George Racing. He is in Eighty-Four PA, just south of Pittsburg.. Depending on where you are in MD.

When I lived in MD, Eddie Bolton in Mechanicsville knew the torqueflite.
I don't have his contact info, so do a search.
Hopefully he is still doing work for others, and not just his race effort.
