On my R3 block it was set up to run dry sump and priority mains oiling.. I see on your block you
would have to cut in the filter area for oiling.. what does the forward area of the block look like..
is it priority oiling

In my class I have to run a wet sump. I do that with an external single stage pump.

However if I wanted to convert it back to a stock type pump I would probably contact Harshman Automotive to see if can they do it.

I converted my 9in deck r3 w8 deal over from dry to wet sump myself. Only did that to fit it in my stock chassis or I would of ran my dry sump stuff. I sent my pro gram main cap back to program who made them, wasn't cheap, they drilled the oil pump register to big, I made a bushing to resolve that issue, I drilled my oil pump area myself in the mill. Not for the faint of heart, it's right or can be all wrong lol. I agree with the above, send to harshman if they are willing. But, I do everything myself, not for the faint of heart.....

I had one of those blocks, I think they were early Pro Stock Truck or Craftsman Truck blocks. I think the most easiest way will be running a single stage external pump with a pick up plumbed in to the oil pan. There are several pumps to choose from, Moroso, Petersen and Stockcar Products to name a few.

If you are planning on doing away with the aluminium main caps, changing over to a steel cap with provision for an internal oil pump could be done at that point. Then you could have someone like Harshman Automotive drill the block for you. Shadydell did some of the drilling for me on my block. I remember being quite annoyed about that, because I didn't ask for it to be done.

Best of luck with whatever you decide to do.

Or You could just get this Barnes Dry Sump set up for the ridiculous price of $600 and be done with it. www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/threads/small-block-340-mopar-dry-sump-oiling-set-up.489514/

If you go the external pump route pay attention to how long it is if you have a stock steering box.

I got a nice Peterson "wet-vac" pump but found it hit the steering box. The Moroso is what I ended up using.

Good luck!
