I race, I fish, I golf, I build mufflers, I build models, used to play hockey, & I'm LOVING watching the Masters yesterday & today! My God that course is beautiful. SO much fun to watch.

Doesn't just looking at the Augusta course make you want to walk it ? That's the way it should be..................but, nope: every course has gone to power carts.

It has to be that way, besides time is money for the course, and if a single group of golfers out on the course walks as fast as they often play (super slow), if I could not afford to own my own course, I would just quit the game. I'm surprised for TV they have not gone to carts.
Understand, i like walking and my game seems to settle down when doing so.

I play a much better game as well when I walk the course. Most courses still give you the option to walk. The look of horror on the Cashiers' face when you decline the cart is priceless. I don't have any trouble on foot keeping up to 2 lazy people on a cart. But, at any rate, all golf courses should be turned into Moto Cross tracks.

I've played a course that was "walking only" and I am sure there are a bunch like that. I walk and keep pace, but for sure play ready golf, hit, and move on ASAP.
My favorite course to walk was Spyglass Hill with a caddy - had a great time. That's really the best way to play but is too $$$.

I've played places where you could walk or ride and never had an issue keeping pace walking as a foursome. Problem with carts is one shot to the left other to right side and they go to one ball, then the other. That makes things SLOW, especially when the people think they are Tiger, Bubba,Justin, DJ, etc. FFS hit the damn ball already.
My favorite is the 540 yd par 5, drive goes 220 at best and the idgits are waiting in the fairway for the green to clear...

Nope..I don't diss it. I have better hobbies. It is like bracket racing. Fun to participate in but boring to watch. You must be doing it wrong, we have an absolute blast watching from the 1300 ft mark and lately I've had a fair amount of time to do it ..

Watching golf? Maybe if I was laid up in bed long term in the hospital, all the other channels were broken, the internet was down, and Paige Spiranac was playing. Edit: Ok, maybe just if Paige was playing...
