I love my Knipex Pliers Wrench. Good stuff!

Gas wrench is a wrench. That bolt can't be tight if it's liquid. biggrin

It was an untorque to yield fastener. You always have to use new fasteners for that application...

I am going to have to say my old Craftsman adjustable wrench. When I just can't find the right size, it's always there for me, and always the right size. SAE, MM, slightly rounded nut, it's always the right size. For a non-professional with limited tools.

Facts are stubborn things.

My wrenches have a life time warranty

Yea if you can find a sears to take them to. This may be off topic but where do you get replacements for craftsman stuff? I know Stanly took over the Craftsmen tool line and you have to call a # to get info on where to take it but still there are limitations. Just was wondering what experiences you guys had with getting replacements. And if take wrench back that says"made in the usa" i get one that's made in china. mad I know years ago Home Depot would replace a Craftsman tools with a similar one by Husky but doubt they do it today.

I've been able to take my Craftsman stuff to Lowes. Not much of a hassle but wow are some of the new Craftsman ratchets junk.

I inquired about getting rebuild kits but they didn't have any idea.

The saddest part is that Pittsburgh tools are getting more attractive. Their quality has gone up, the price is good and the warranty is better. I'm actually not bothering to chase down the Snap On truck anymore to try and warranty my stuff.

Harbor Freight is definitely better than it used to be.

Anybody ever see this YouTube Channel? It's called AvE.

He does a lot of tool testing, both power and hand tools as well as a series of learning curve videos on his Haas CNC.

If profanity makes you run to your safe place, maybe not the channel for you but excellent info and entertaining.

A ratchet death match video.

Not exactly my favorite wrench, but I have been impressed with what the “King” version of the Gator Grip socket can do on odd shapes.

https://www.amazon.com/Professional...mp;psc=1&refRID=QHEF38DBS8HNMPVJYYV7

Thumb screws, squares, etc

Using a needle nose pliers you can repair these by carefully pulling out bent needle and straightening them, then reinserting.

Like the 10 mm “dime” shim example above,
the 36 mm viscous fan nut on Magnum V8s can be removed using an English wrench and a shim made from tin can stock.

Others just use an air impact chisel blade.
