Amazing birds. The pittsburgh area has several nests that have cameras on them every spring. This year the one nest with three eggs was attacked at least twice by a raccoon and owl. They successfully protected the eggs which are now hatched.

I saw a Hawk or a Falcon take a pigeon in mid air years ago driving north up the 99 freeway in CA just south of Fresno, I was probably around a 1/4 to 1/2 mile away when I saw a big puff of whiteness appear about 15 ft. above the freeway by a overpass, I saw that it was the Falcon or Hawk as I drove by in the divider starting to eat it. I'll never forget that I use to catch good snakes as a kid and feed them frogs, I like most animals but some I kill like Scorpions, most spiders and all poisonous snakes

I used to trap squirrels in my yard and release them in a local park. I released one once and as it ran away a large hawk swooped down and plucked it off the ground and flew away with it. Wish I would have been filming... Please share your squirrel trapping knowledge. Best bait? Best type of trap design? I have tried peanut butter. I have a metal cage trap door design and just bought a high voltage zapper design. Do not suggest one cycle engines, although I got an Expert medal at age 13 HOA regulations and philosophy of neighbors nix that option.

Was sitting at a 4 way red light years back at Daytona. Numerous black birds where eating scraps in the roadway right in front of me. It happened so fast I never saw clearly the bird that basically expoled one of the black birds right in front of my car as he flew away. What was mostly surprising, the other black birds appeared to pursue the culprit immediately and aggressively, what for, I have no idea.
Reality check, that half the population is smarter then 50% of the people and it's a constantly contested fact.
