It was a beast that was built on Monster Garage. It was powered by a Texas Speed LS engine that they said was 1200hp in the episode.

But yesterday at the Texas Mile there was no film crew, just the Jesse with a team of guys working on it. It was impressive to see, but watching the team react to the 2nd pass that broke 200mph was the real excitement.

Yep, me too. I have no interest in anything Chevy powered, and even less interest in anything LS powered. I'm one of those old guys that would walk away shaking his head in discus, another ruined Mopar!

Put a 5.7 or a 6.4 Hemi in it and I'd give it more then a quick glance.

Always amazes me, build an incredible, unique car and then stick a belly button powerplant in it. Makes me wonder if they ran out of money, imagination or talent.

I would be impressed if they had used a slant six, LS powered? Meh... rolleyes

The funny thing about science is that if you change one miniscule parameter you change the entire outcome to the way you want it.

Supercharged Studebaker would have been cool.

LS is in all fairness an excellent platform with a boatload of support which means you need very little talent and absolutely no imagination to run one.

Crack 200 mph in a 62 Impala with one and I'm kinda there for you because that's an acceptable place to put one if you don't have the talent to do it with a 409. Lol.
