I'm sure it was battle for the staff to pull this together considering the pandemic stuff, but they finally got it done! I have my room booked already, now I need to get busy and put my car back together.

For me, the midwest is the perfect region for Drag Week and these are awesome tracks! I have never raced at Byron before, so I'll be able to add a new track on my list.

See you there Joel. My car is beyond ready to go by drag week standards, I only have/want to pull the motor for a cam change lol.

I haven't raced at Byron yet either. Providing my Junk makes it to day 4 that will make track #21 I have driven in the gate and made a pass at.

Glad to see they Sacked up this year. Maybe one year they will do the real Midwest instead of the same old tracks.

To be fair it can't be easy to find 5 tracks within driving distance of each other that can hold 6 second cars. Every drag week track I have been to has had concrete barriers as well, no metal crap.

Define the real Midwest? They have been all over the Midwest over the years.

I can't imagine the logistics and coordination nightmare it is to put this event on every year at different tracks/locations.

Some tracks have a ET cutoff, and that is usually 7.50. Good portion of the Unlimited cars can easily cover that. A

Also if you want to spectate at a Drag Week stop, it's best to arrive early. Most days are done by 3:00pm. They guys that have their sh!t together, arrive very early in the morning, make a hit, and load up for the day long drive. If you show up aft 10:00am, quite a few cars have already left for the next track.

Any guesses as to when the registration will go live for people who haven't entered before? Late this month?

I really want to do this with the Fury I just picked up. It's not super quick but it it should at least finish and be reasonably reliable doing it, and I have no excuse to not go with the event starting at Martin!

Looking forward to watching.
Probably be at my home track( 131)for either that Test and Tune on Sunday, or Monday. Later that week leave for the Holley Moparty in Bowling Green, Ky.
The inaugural event last year was lots of fun

Those that got in on registration last year, get priority this year. They will be given one week, from what I have heard, then registration will open up after that. Id guess that maybe less than 100 opening will be available. Bottom line, if you don't get in, just show up, and enter. Hasn't been full yet, and don't see it getting full this year with RMRW getting bigger, and people going to that for a change of pace.

PS. Better book rooms now if you are thinking of going.

Speaking of rooms, I did all my and I noticed that they are offering a slightly cheaper rate for non-cancelable rooms. I always pay a little more to get the cancellation privilege. You never know what can happen on drag week

While I don't know if the report was accurate I have heard that 2020 wait listed folks will get a shot after the 2020 registered racers. I think the 2020 wait list was like 300+. If that is true it may never actually get opened to the "public".

I booked hotels yesterday. I only ran across one hotel (in Indy) that was sold out.

That is what I read on the Facebook DW page as well. Still doubt it will fill up. If anything Nick, go, and enjoy the show. Promise you, it's a blast still.

If I don't get in I'll definitely still spectate at Martin and Norwalk! Will book hotels this weekend. Assume it's usually a Hampton or something nearest to the track?
