Well...I got rid of my 2016 Challenger Scat Pack shaker this fall, and bought this. 2020 Widebody Scat Pack Charger (Frostbite blue).

I have to say after owning both cars back to back, that the Charger is CONSIDERABLY more comfortable to drive. I really got it because my kids are 11 now, and the Challenger wasn't real practical to use anymore.

Part of it is that the 2020 Widebody cars have the adaptive shocks and suspension from the Hellcats, but I also know that we (Stellantis) tune the shocks on the Chargers differently than we do the Challengers. They are certainly not trying to be the same car, and if you drive one back to back it's noticable.

I also love that they have made improvements in the active exhaust between 2016 and 2020. The 2020 Charger sounds BAD A$$ compared to the Challenger (not that the challenger was bad!) So far absolutely loving it. Can't wait for some more warm weather!

Looks great, the Charger wears the widebody so much better than the challenger.

Beautiful car! I would take a new widebody Charger over the Challenger personally. The Challenger is a great looking car no doubt, but when I saw the Widebody Charger at Carlisle a couple years ago I completley fell in love. I believe it was the same color as your new one too.

That's a sweet-ass Coronet you got there. wink

Looks amazing from every angle. I especially like the indents in the back bumper and the view of the exhaust from the back on these cars. drool

Just not into those "winter wheels" on these cars.............when are shiny wheels going to come back in style?

Enjoy. beer

LOL@Coronet comment...

All Widebody cars get the 6 piston brembo's from the Hellcats, as opposed to the 4 piston Brembo on a regular Scat (non-wide body). The red calipers are a $595 upcharge, so not every car gets them.

The red 6 piston calipers are 500 per wheel, and there is a national back order on them. If you can get them for $600 a pair, that's money very well spent.

For those of you that will do an immediate Google and post how many places are selling for half that, call them. Email them. They're not in stock. Been down that road already.

I always wanted a challenger until I saw them both parked side by side and realized they were both the same length. Challengers doors are huge to make it up, charger is better proportioned so I went with it. The "slim bodies" can look good too, they just need the right stance

The factory option is $595 total. There are lots of cars out there available with them right now.

I assume you're talking about aftersale upgrades. I'm sure the production cars take priority.

To me the chargers are just plain mean looking and the wide body on the charger makes it look even meaner. The scats are no joke they run hard and are a lot of fun. I was all set to buy one after driving my buddies 2019. I ended up with a hellcat charger that was a few years old but got a good deal on it otherwise I would of had a new scat pack.

I gave some serious thought to buying modern muscle instead of the car I bought.
It came down to had I did it the Charger would have won simply for comfort practical use

My brother in law bought a used scat pack charger last year. And he LOVES it ,,I think his is either an 18 or a 19 . said the car is more than quick enough to get him in trouble if he desires

Like so ( file pic I found online his is a carbon twin to this , color and all }

I DEFINITLY agree with this. The whole Widebody thing is Euro if you ask me but it looks like it belongs on the Charger. The Challenger looks like a Rickey Racer AutoZone bolt on. Kinda like the Aspen Kit cars.
