Anyone roll the dice on the $100 ebay power washers?
The you tube vids show they seem to work ok, crazy they seem to pull 1800 watts when spraying. Many old places are not set up for that.
Id not expect it to have a long service life.
Mainly just looking for a way to blow the dust off the SRT black rims since here in the dust bowl the fine dust is semi abrasive to just use a brush and soapy water.
TIA!

If you have to string a hundred feet of cord to clean your project without flinging poo all over the side of your house, it's not going to put out it's maximum.........and a $100 washer is going to need all the power you can get to it. Gas washer. Use it anywhere. Pick one up on Craigslist that "starts but won't stay running" (clean the carb) for fifty dollars.

My wife bought one of those on line power washers. It worked great for cleaning about 1/2 of the siding on our house, then the water started coming out of the handle. I got the job done, but towards the end, there was more water running down my arm then was coming out of the pressure end.
The next one my wife bought was a cheap one from HF, it did the house, and still works, and was cheaper then the online washer was.
The online washer had a much nicer soap dispenser and also had a longer wand which made cleaning the higher places much easier, too bad it died so soon.
If there is a HF store near you, I'd buy one from there before I'd buy one on line, at least when the HF one dies, you have someplace to take it to and get another one "just like it". Gene

I have a cheap, electric Harbor freight power washer that so far has lasted 4 years. I use it for quick, lighter duty washing. (easier for the wife to use as well)
I do have a gas unit for the heavy jobs.

Thanks for the feedback. Looks like it will work for no more then im gonna do.
Ive had a steam cleaner for 35 years thats diesel powered and has the water coil in the fire blower area that will strip the paint off a tractor or clean a semi block in short order, its nuts but its not car friendly.
